Student Safety contactpoint

ASVA believes that everyone should be able to feel safe at their educational institution. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. We still hear stories of students who do not feel safe. Teachers abusing their position of power, making sexual jokes or discriminating against people are just a few examples.

ASVA believes it is important that feelings of insecurity at educational institutions should be taken seriously. The different sections of educational institutions should do something about it. To get an overview of reports and help people report to the educational institutions or give people the opportunity to report anonymously, ASVA has set up the Social Insecurity contactpoint. Do you feel unsafe at your educational institution? Report it here!

All reports that come in are handled with great care. You can also report anonymously. Then we will work with other advocates and institutions, such as the ombuds officer and the educational institutions, to see what we can do so that this does not happen again.

If you leave your name and contact details, we can also let you know what has been done with the report, and we may be able to offer you support if you need it. It will also help you think about possible solutions. It is not obligatory to leave your contact details; even without them we will start working for you.

Always contact the police in case of an offence, you can report it there.
