ASVA wants to convey its solidarity with the marking strike led by Casual UvA, and supports the demands of the lecturers for better working conditions.
As a student organization we understand that the quality of education we receive is directly dependent on lecturers. A precarious working environment for academic staff is ultimately reflected in a lower quality of education for students. As such we are in full support of the lecturers’ demands and hope that casualization at UvA can be addressed once and for all.
