This hotline acts as a place to report socially unsafe situations at your educational institution. Are you bothered by a socially unsafe situation at your educational institution? And do you not know what to do about it? This is the place to report it.
Report social safety within your educational institution
Within educational institutions, there are also a number of places where you can report socially unsafe situations. For problems with social safety during lectures, you can initially contact your lecturer. If this is not sufficient, you can also contact your study programme coordinator or study advisor. These people can work with you to find a solution to the problem. For example, if you are a victim of undesirable behaviour, they can talk to you and the person expressing the behaviour.
Are you a victim of undesirable behaviour in a broader sense? Or would you like to express your problem more anonymously? Then you can make an appointment with one of the confidants. This person can offer you a listening ear and will only take action if you ask for it yourself. If necessary, the confidant can help you file a complaint with the complaints commission, but you can also do this on your own.
For more structural problems, you can report to the ombudsman. This person is responsible for investigating systematic abuses or insecurity and can advise the educational institution on how to improve them. At sufficient reports, the ombuds officer can investigate the problem and discuss this with the Executive Board.
Check your educational institution’s website for the applicable procedures and exactly how to get in touch with the right person for your situation at.
How does our hotline work?
If you need a more external perspective on your situation, you can also make a report to us independent of your educational institution. You will find a form for this at the bottom of this page. We will receive your report within ASVA and will then discuss with you what an appropriate measure might be. All reports that come in to are handled carefully. You can also report anonymously. Then we will work with other advocates and institutions, such as the ombuds officer and the educational institutions, to see what we can do so that this does not happen again.
If you leave your name and contact details, we can also let you know what has been done with the report, and we may be able to offer you support if you need it. It will also help you think about possible solutions. It is not compulsory to leave your contact details; we will also get to work for you without them.
Always contact the police in case of an offence, you can report it here.
