Course of events
Requesting a training
You must request a training at least two weeks in advance. We will call you first to discuss exactly what your training needs are and what dates are convenient for you. We then need to find someone in our trainer pool who can provide this training for you on one of the dates that suits you.
In exceptional cases, a training can sometimes be arranged more quickly, but it is wise to take into account that there is some time between the request and the actual training.
Completing the application form is free of obligation, only if there has been telephone and/or email contact about the specifications of the training and a date has been set, it will be regarded as a training that must be specifically canceled in order not to continue.
Amsterdam Board Day
You can also participate in the Amsterdam Board Day twice a year, in September and February, where you can sign up for multiple training sessions and also follow training sessions with other boards.
Cancel a training
Up to 5 days before the start of a training you can cancel it free of charge by sending an email to academy@asva.nl. If the training is canceled less than 24 hours in advance, you pay the full cost. If it is more than 24 hours in advance (but less than 5 days) you will pay a cancellation fee of 30 euros.
Costs
Are you unsure whether you are a partner association of ASVA? You can quickly find out by checking whether you receive invitations to our ALVs on your board email, or by asking your treasurer (who probably knows whether the annual membership costs are debited).
Are you not yet a partner association of ASVA? Don’t worry, you can become a partner association all year round. If you join around the time of the training, the prices for partner associations also apply to you. Given that membership for partner associations of ASVA is less than 20 euros, it is actually always cheaper to become a partner association when you request a training.
