The ASVA student union is looking for students who want to get involved in current education issues! Do you want to commit yourself to the quality of education and are you aware of the educational climate? Then read on!
ASVA is concerned with education, both in hbo and wo. We also keep an eye on national developments. Developments in the field of education are ongoing, from the strategic agenda of Minister Van Engelshoven to the loan system and appointment procedures of the CvB for the HvA and UvA.
What are we looking for?
To keep a close eye on these developments and to consider what ASVA’s role might be in them, ASVA is looking for students for an education think tank that regularly discusses current issues in education. The committee is expected to have an active attitude and its members are well-informed about the topics to be discussed. Relevant documents will be provided by ASVA. In this function it is useful to have knowledge of the current education system, for example by actively participating in representative councils or study associations, but this is not a requirement.
Who are we?
The ASVA Student Union is the central advocate for the interests of Amsterdam students and fulfils many different tasks. ASVA represents students at the municipality, universities, colleges and national parties in the field of education, student housing and public transport, organises events and offers students services such as cheap bicycles and free legal aid. ASVA is an organisation for and by students!
Do you have affinity with education? Do you have ideas for improving the quality of education and are you a student at the HvA or UvA? Then this committee is for you!
